A very successful Thanksgiving! Ate a lot of good homemade food and still had enough to energy to clean up. I started cooking the night before and into the morning, I didn't get to bed til 7 a.m. My sleeping pattern is so strange, in constant change! My family opted for a "seafood themed" Thanksgiving rather your traditional turkey and candied yams. I made up some tofu/cabbage lumpia, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegan potato salad, hermit cookies with raisins and my Mom made beef lumpia, shrimp gumbas, pasta salad, wild rice stuffed portobello mushrooms, macaroni and cheese shells, sweet potato pie and chocolate chip cookies... I don't know if you would really call this a seafood themed food gathering but more cultural - satisfyingly delicious nonetheless!! I am really looking forward to sleeping tonight. I feel so deprived yet alert and active. Hope you all had a nice evening!!

I wish someone could diagnose me and see if I truly have obsessive compulsive disorder. I LOVE CLEANING. I can do it for hours for days, months! The feeling of things being in their place and organization, feels pure. My brain doesn't feel all wired in different directions and paranoid. I don't know how many pair of socks my family owns but it is well over the hundreds and I matched them all, yes ALL muahaha. Even the little things like that bug me and it doesn't have to be just my belongings. It can be anyones stuff. When it comes to organization I'm nosey. If you room is not tidy, if things don't match up or there are smudges on your mirror - you will find me there. I've got heaping piles of bags I want to donate to the local Salvation Army. There's a bunch of other misc. stuff downstairs, all I have to do is make an appt. for them to come pick it up! Then things will be perfect and free of clutter... I can't wait haha. My brothers is having a Thanksgiving party for one of his classes tomorrow and my Mom had to go to work so that left me to make lumpia from scratch! For the first time ever! I hope his classmates aren't disappointed. I've got everything cooked and it looks good, don't know how it tastes cos well it's beef and I'm vegan. Now just pulling apart the lumpia wrappers which is very very time consuming + meticulous and I have my Pandora on The Postal Service "radio station" and it's shuffling some good, ear therapeuting songs. I made some cabbage spring rolls with rice paper for dinner. They were really good and I still have PLENTY of cabbage left! I really need to spend some time planning on what to make for Thanksgiving. I've got some ideas but I need to get the stuff! Always last minute with me, I've been very good at that. Going to start on the mousepad I promised Jesse. He wants it to look like a creeper from Mind Craft? Yeeeah I better go look that up!

Alright so hopefully I actually maintain this!
These past couple of weeks have been pretty good. I've let the bad go right through me and the good surround me. I finally signed myself up for GED classes. I don't know why I strayed off for so long. Standing up to my fears and swept-under-the-carpet priorities, it's feels good. Really been thinking a lot about taking classes overseas once I get my sorts sorted. Take some sweet fashion, art, nutrition, anatomy, botany, health, culinary courses perhaps! Maybe not all at once but I want to challenge myself already.
Been crafting a lot lately. Going back to my roots, my comfort - being creative.
Everything is trickling down correctly.
Hanging out with my family a lot more too. I went to the cinema with my sister today. We saw Twilight: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1. It was absolutely brilliant, I'm so excited for the second part! While we were out I stopped by Bath & Body Works. They've got a really great selection this time of year. A sweet range of cute and heavenly scented fragrances, oils, candles, creams and randoms bits. I wanted to bring everything away with me. After we got home I shaped up and painted her nails in a half moon style. The moon was a mint green and the rest black. First time I ever attempted at it and I did pretty well. Now just sipping on a peppermint tea from an oversized mug and toast with strawberry marmalade. So simple, yet satisfying.
